About This Place

Welcome to Kem-Kon Vegan Phahurat, a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant streets of Bangkok at 80 82 Tri Phet Rd, Wang Burapha Phirom, Phra Nakhon. This delightful vegan restaurant is revolutionizing the plant-based dining scene, offering an extensive menu that caters to both vegan enthusiasts and those looking to explore flavorful alternatives.

Kem-Kon's menu is a culinary adventure, featuring dishes inspired by both traditional Thai flavors and Western comforts. One standout item is the Vietnamese Noodle Soup, a comforting bowl that's rich with shitake mushrooms, paired with plant-based fish and minced pork alternatives. Each slurp is a celebration of umami, making it a true crowd-pleaser.

For those longing for a burst of tangy goodness, the Tofu with Tamarind Sauce is a must-try. The crispy basil leaves add a delightful crunch, perfectly complementing the sweet and sour sauce. It’s a dish that showcases how enjoyable vegan cuisine can be, balancing flavors and textures with finesse.

The Western offerings are equally impressive, notably the Spaghetti Carbonara. This dish features a creamy sauce crafted from Australian soybean milk, combined with plant-based bacon made from soy and coconut oil, topped with delectable cashew-based parmesan cheese. It’s comfort food at its finest, reimagined for the vegan palate.

Guests rave about the generous portions and the ability to customize their food to suit their spice levels, making each visit a personalized experience. As one satisfied customer, Frantz Marchand, put it, “The khao soi and pad thai were full of flavor and came in generous portions.” The inviting atmosphere and attentive staff only enhance the overall dining experience.

What's more, the creativity within Kem-Kon’s kitchen shines through its unique offerings such as the vegan boiled egg and tantalizing shakes, including a beloved Oreo shake. With dishes carefully crafted to ensure 100% plant-based satisfaction, every bite promises to be a discovery of wholesome flavors.

Excellent, I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommended — the khao soi and pad thai were full of flavor and came in generous portions. You can spice up the pad thai to your own taste, which is such a great idea! The mung bean fries were an amazing discovery — definitely give them a try! I recommend this place to everyone, both vegans and non-vegans!

We are in Bangkok from Port Hedland, Western Australia and the vegan food options here are amazing!! We ordered a couple times from Kem-Kon and OMG is amazing. We ordered off grab and food arrives fresh and still warm. - Croissants (all amazing and fresh, sweet and savoury) - Vegan boiled egg (wow, I love this) - Shakes (Oreo has been our favourite, the cream is so good) - Carrot cake (delicious) - Pork and berry rice (delicious) - Fettuccine (so so yum, I love salt so could’ve done with extra salt or a salt packet in the bag) - Mango Sticky Rice (this was nice but the coconut to pour over was salty, I’m use to sweet, still ate it) We will order from them again!

In a town where vegan places are few and far between Kemkon is a small paradise of delicious food, a soothing atmosphere from the heat and noise of the bustling city and place to feel completely safe in that your food is entirely plant based. I had the Pad Thai with banana blossom sausage, it had a beautiful aromatic profile, with the freshest ingredients, and deeply nourishing. My only contention is that it was a bit on the small side, but with food this good, I think it will always leave you wanting more.

Great place! Very convenient, lovely staff and with a very versatile menu, 100% vegan and reasonably priced compared to this type of restaurants. I've managed to try pretty much all dishes except for spicy ones and western ones... The boat noodle soup is definitely the best. Loved the textures, loved the black peppery dark and thick kind of flavor. The teriyaki tofu and the fish sticks are also terrific. As for the drinks, the strawberry frappe is very nice, but the apricot one is even better, it tastes awesome and also comes with ice cream. Overall many great choices, but be careful if you're spicy phobic since many many dishes contain chilli...

We got khao soi with vegan crab meatballs, pad thai with vegan crispy pork, sukhothai tom yum noodles, and cashew cheese lasagna. It was all decent! Lots of variety for a vegan restaurant. [20 Feb 2025]

The food was amazing. My mom is a vegetarian and she said this is the best vegetarian food she’s ever had. The selection is huge. The prices are very affordable. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful as well. There was no line or wait. They have ac and we enjoyed dining on the second floor with the view of the square. I love this place. We will be back!

The vegan fried pork with rice and the spicy sauce was absolutely delicious! The papaya salad we all shared was nice and spicy as it should be. The drinks were great, too. My friends enjoyed their food as well. Overall a great experience, would definitely recommend to come here if you visit Bangkok.
